HAWAII OR THE PHILIPPINES!? (BecomingFilipino, Oahu, North Shore)

I had one full day in Oahu Hawaii with Filipino friends... and this is how we spent it!

We hopped in a van, left the Honolulu area, and made our way across to the windward side of the island. This area was STUNNING. The lush green mountains that act as a barrier in-between the two sides of Oahu is so beautiful. From cruising along the coast, to eating local shrimp, to speaking pidgin language (a local slang), to eating a "local style halo-halo" called "Shave Ice"...

This was just an all around good vibes day with Filipino friends in Hawaii!

Did you know that 24% of the population in Hawaii is Filipino. You can find a lot of similarities here... and I can imagine the adjustment living here wouldn't be as difficult for OFW's as in other areas of the world.

This is one raw and beautiful day road tripping around Hawaii!!
