Myths of Foraging - Skit

There are a lot of myths about foraging for food and medicine from the wild. Things like it taking too much effort for too little food, herbal medicine tastes horrible, foraging is too primitive for a modern society, and more.

This skit pokes a little fun at the idea of foraging taking too much effort for too little food. When in reality it usually takes as much effort as going out to your garden, yard, or local park. Very seldom do you need to walk miles for food, and very often wild edibles are added to the normal foods one would cook.

My hope is that in doing a few skits like this some people will see that foraging has quite a few negative connotations that come with it. Connotations that are not quite accurate. Like in this example walking a very, very long way for a small bunch of wild onions. Only to walk back and eat just the onions when instead they should be added to other things, like a burger in this case.

I thank you for watching this video and I hope you enjoyed it!
