Excerpted from Pink Martini's live concert at Edgefield in Portland, "Amado Mio" is the opening track on the band's debut album "Sympathique," and has long been an audience favorite in concert. Filmed on a rainy day in September 2021, soon after the band started touring again after a long hiatus during quarantine, this performance of one of lead singer China Forbes's signature songs features a trumpet solo by Thomas Barber, an opening harp cascade by Maureen Love, with members of the Portland Youth Philharmonic on strings. This video is excerpted from an epic 3-hour concert that was also broadcast to the band's fans online.
