Adding TWO Diesel Heaters to Our Skoolie! (Part 1)
You read it right ~ we are installing 2 diesel heaters in our Skoolie! The one in the front will act as our Defroster when driving in the cold (since we removed the bus heater early in our build) and also be an additional boondocking heat source in the front. The 2nd diesel heater will be the only source of heat in the back of the bus, for our bedroom and bathroom.
You might be aware we will also be adding a wood burning stove as our primary heat source. The two diesel heaters are just a secondary source of heat for times we cannot build a fire in our wood burning stove, for instance, if we are staying at an RV Park or Campground with fire restrictions.
You might notice that our A/C unit is a heat pump also, but we could never use it while boondockiing or while driving, so... that's how we ended up with 4 sources of heat in one skoolie!

About Us:
Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!
