CA Finish - Pt 2 - Accelerator and CA Applications

CA finishing of vessels and other forms can be durable, quick, and with a little practice, an easy finish to apply.

Alan Trout is from San Antonio. He blends brightly pigmented acrylic resins with wood and other organic materials. All are finished with a glass smooth or soft luster finish.

In this demo, Alan discusses safety considerations and equipment when applying a CA finish, the size and type of vessels to which this finish can be applied, the archival considerations of the finish, and materials needed for the successful application of the CA finish. He will demonstrate the application, sanding, polishing, and bottom finishing techniques needed to successfully finish a vessel.

Our club meets the first Monday of each month in Denton, Texas in the Center for the Visual Arts (Corner of Hickory and Belle Streets) at 7PM. All are welcome to attend!!
