Ep. 185 - Caber Toss with Ranch Hands, Fencing Made Fun | Blackacre Ranch

Time to reuse materials and save money on a ranch. We focus on the bison gathering pen and look to make changes by removing line posts and replacing them with T-posts. We are creating a passage to pasture 5. Things became interesting when LDS missionary service became ranch highland games. They decided to try to caber toss the wood line posts.

Here on Blackacre Ranch we are city folk who moved to the country to start ranching bison (i.e. buffalo). We are a family with 6 kids. Our goals are to homestead the property, grow healthy food, and build good character along the way. We are new to homesteading and don't know much about it, but we are willing to share our struggles and journey as we learn how to homestead together. Think of this as homesteading for beginners where we are the beginners.

We are converting an old rundown church camp into a first generation ranch...profitable ranch that is. It's a whole new life and we are sharing it with you. We are prepping for larger animals such as bison, highland cattle, pigs and chickens.
