Ep. 172 - Bison Calves Take Center Stage | Runaway! | Blackacre Ranch

Bison calf pen B is done for the calves. The pasture grass has really grown in the post sort pens. Pasture fence is finished and we do the grading on the dirt to get the bison calves into the new pasture. Lots of barbed wire but it is all finished. One more to go.

Here on Blackacre Ranch we are city folk who moved to the country to start ranching bison (i.e. buffalo). We are a family with 6 kids. Our goals are to homestead the property, grow healthy food, and build good character along the way. We are new to homesteading and don't know much about it, but we are willing to share our struggles and journey as we learn how to homestead together. Think of this as homesteading for beginners where we are the beginners.

We are converting an old rundown church camp into a first generation ranch...profitable ranch that is. It's a whole new life and we are sharing it with you. We are prepping for larger animals such as bison, highland cattle, pigs and chickens.
