Labor ‘should be salespeople’ because of ‘positive spin’ on budget: James Ashby
One Nation Chief of Staff James Ashby says the Labor government “should be salespeople” because of all the “positive spin” they have released each day before the budget.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers will hand down the federal budget on Tuesday, May 14.
“Sadly, when you go into a lockup, the Labor Party’s talking points have already been delivered outside while you’re locked away for several hours, and you don’t get to get out until … just before the Treasurer, himself, delivers his wonderful speech,” Mr Ashby told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“It’s only a few days later, but the problem is the media have reported all the glossy good stuff, and so it’s hard then to cut through all that positive spin that the Labor Party continue to dribble out every single day.
“They should be salespeople.”
