Bearing Forged Into Fine Woodworking Tool (Inner Race)
Recycling a ball bearing inner race into a classy woodworking tool!
Once again this tough steels proves to be a great choice for tools.
I am a novice when it comes to blacksmithing so no worries, easy techniques and common machines.

2:16 Hot cutting top part so I have less to grind later
2:26 Normalizing x3
2:41 Hardening
3:01 Cleaning scales so I can see tempering colors
3:11 Tempering
3:34 Grinding shoulder with angle grinder
4:10 Cleaning transition between tang and tool
4:40 Smoothing with flap wheel disc on drill
5:06 Grinding into shape with 2x72 belt grinder
6:14 Hand sanding up to 1200 grit
6:50 Polishing with cotton wheel and fine polishing compound
7:35 Making fuller with copper pipe cap
8:00 Turning handles of mystery wood
9:18 Drilling 5mm hole for tang
9:41 Cutting off excess handle with bandsaw
9:48 Cleaning badsaw cut with slack part of 2x72 belt grinder
10:05 White mineral oil
10:16 Press fitting fuller
10:31 Refining tang shape and measurements
10:54 Driving tang in handle with press fit
11:13 Honing edges with belt strop.
