Qi Gong - Lesson #3

Qi Gong teaches us how to move the Qi throughout the body, not just through the postures, but with our mind and breath. In this episode we focused on movements patterns five and six of the Eight Brocades: “Dragon Drinks from River,” and “Nourish Kidneys.” Dragon Drinks from River is also known as “Snake shakes head and tail for good internal balance.” It specifically targets the only horizontal meridian in the body, the Dai Mai. Nourish Kidneys strengthens the kidneys (as you might guess) and the adrenal glands which sit on top of the kidneys. The idea is to help recharge them as if they were a depleted battery from adrenal fatigue. Nourish Kidneys also targets the Chong Mai meridian.
