Yogi the Bernese Mountain Dog - 4 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Yogi the 1 yr old Bernese Mountain dog has completed a 4 week Intensive Board and Train course at Adolescent Dogs

When Yogi arrived his owners were really struggling to gain any form of control when he was on and off lead.

Yogi LOVES other dogs and would charge over to any dog, bounce around them and instigate play...being 50kg that wasn't always accepted too well with other dogs and their owners.
He also pulled his owner across a road which meant walkies were stressful.

Yogi was also quite restless and struggled to settle which meant his owners avoided taking him to cafes and pubs.

Yogi's trainer has worked hard on making good improvements in these area's. His response around distractions is much better, he will recall nicely now that he has leanrt that he can't greet every dog that he see's. The interactions that he has had over the last week have been much improved meaning walks are far less stressful.

He can settle nicely in a cafe and at home even with a young child playing around him.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Yogi's owner received a video handover, meaning she unfortunately missed out on the full benefits of owner training but we have agreed to do video calls/training sessions a few times a week to help Yogi's owner continue where we left off.

Do do need help with your dog's training? We can offer limited residential training opportunities, perfect for teaching puppies the basics or dogs who need better household manners. Training will be in home and garden only, with video handovers and ongoing video support provided (and in person lessons once lockdown is complete)
