Callie the Cockapoo - 3 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Callie the 2 year old Cockapoo has completed her 3 week residential training stay

Callie is a real sweetheart who's owners had given her a great start with her training, but they felt Callie lacked confidence in certain situations and had become reactive around people and novel objects such as people carrying shopping bags, planes/helicopters, caps/hats.

During her stay, we have worked on building her confidence and control in different environments to help her cope in situations she is not been comfortable in. We introduced some counter conditioning to mark the environment to triggers to help Callie out when she's feeling overwhelmed.

We also focused on Callie's lead walking as when Callie felt nervous she pulled on the lead to get away. Callie now walks really well and engages in heel which she has really benefited from when out and about. We covered Recall, built a reliable Let's go to help her out of situations if needed and helped her to settle both in and out of the home.
