Virology Lectures 2019 #17: Persistent Infections
Humans harbor multiple persistent viral infections, which last the lifetime of the host. In this lecture we discuss the mechanisms and consequences of viral persistence, illustrated with examples of measles virus, polyomaviruses, hepatitis B and C viruses, and herpesviruses.
