Virology Lectures 2023 #10: Assembly of viruses

Virus particles are of seemingly vast diversity in size, composition, and structural sophistication, but they are all made by a common set of assembly processes. In this lecture we discuss sequential or concerted assembly line processes, packaging of nucleic acids, acquisition of an envelope, and release from the infected cell.

I’m Vincent Racaniello, Earth’s Virology Professor.
