My advice: if it’s your first time in Norway and you are traveling from away - allocate at least 2 weeks.

Then plan your trip following way:

✔️ accommodation / hotel in Norway

‼️ Remember! Local supermarkets in Norway will save your bank account

⚠️ never drink alcohol in Norway if you are driving. Never! Even half a pint can bring you above the limit which is 0.2% here

💎 Is October good time to see Northern Light in Tromsø?

Statistically the best time to see the northern lights in the North of Norway from September to March.

Tromsø is known as ‘the capital of the Arctic’, and just so happens to be one of the best places in the world to view the northern lights.

First - Which language better to study
As Norwegians will tell you, there are no separate languages Bolmål or Nynorsk - they are local directs of one language - Norwegian.

✔️ Do you really need to learn Norwegian if everyone in Norway speaks English?
1 - if you are planning to get settled in Norway you will have to pass Norwegian language test in order to get Norwegian citizenship.
Good luck with this if you speak English only
2 - yes, all Norwegian people I met so far speak amazing English, but in the office or when they have party they will be speaking Norwegian between each other! Not to feel like an outsider you better learn Norwegian.

✔️ Are there job opportunities in the tourist field - master degree

There are lots of available positions in every country, but you always have to remember that the competition can be also extremely high. Especially in countries like Norway

💎 Advice for new arrivals to Norway -

1 - learn Norwegian
2 - get a job
3 - Never ever sit next to other people on the bus in Norway
4 - keep at least 5 meters comfortable distance from Norwegians - they will appreciate you greeting them without kissing their both cheeks.
