Teens Charged for Hit and Run Death of Retired Police Chief
A Nevada teen apparently expected a slap on the wrist for his alleged role in running over a 64-year-old retired California police chief who was out on a bike ride. "I’ll be out in 30 days, I’ll bet you," 18-year-old Jesus Ayala reportedly told cops when he was arrested. “it’s just hit-and-run, slap on the wrist.” Apparently, he expected to be treated as a juvenile. Instead, he's being tried in adult court.
