Student Creates 3D-Printed Lunch Tray for Special Needs Kids

Adaline Hamlin, a 15-year-old student at Pope Prep High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee, designed a lunch tray for students with special needs. She enlisted the help of her school’s 3D printing club and, for less than $5 in materials, they produced a prototype. Adaline won a 'STEM for All Award' at a state competition, and has made the printing plans available for free, so anyone can accommodate students who may need a little help keeping their lunch tray steady.
