The Active Volcano in Alaska; Snowy Mountain
Within Alaska is a scenic volcano covered by 10 large glaciers, which partially collapsed approximately 1500 years ago. Following this collapse, the Snowy Mountain volcano was the site of a viscous lava dome forming eruption, with this lava extrusion occurring in 1760. And yes, the name of Snow Mountain originates due to the fact that more than 90% of its edifice being covered in snow and ice, this volcano is known as Snowy Mountain. Snowy Mountain is located within Katmai National Park in Alaska.
