Rainy Forest Solo Camping | Cozy Tarp Shelter & Comfort Food

Hey Roamers! 🌲⛺

In this video I head out for a solo rainy woodland camp where I build a fully enclosed tarp configuration for shelter. The rain came down heavy, but this tarp setup kept me warm, dry, and cozy through the night.

For dinner, I cooked up a tasty stir fry which brought back memories of my time in Nepalese tea houses, and in the morning I made a hearty sausages and eggs breakfast under the tarp. I'm in the Lake District, which means no campfire this time, just simple, comforting camp cooking while enjoying the peaceful sounds of rain in the forest.

🌿 A Note on UK Wild Camping

Wild camping in most parts of England, Wales & Northern Ireland isn’t legally permitted without the landowner’s permission (with a few exceptions, like parts of Dartmoor). In Scotland, the rules are more relaxed thanks to the Right to Roam.

Wherever you camp, always follow Leave No Trace principles:

* Camp discreetly and respectfully

* Take all rubbish home

* Leave the area exactly as you found it (or better!)

* Keep fires safe, controlled, or avoid them entirely

* Respect wildlife and other people enjoying the outdoors
