In this tutorial you can see how fast and easy it can be to recover deleted files (documents, photos, videos…) from any drive. Here I used a SD card, but USB sticks, hard drives (internal or external) and any other media device will most likely work.
Photorec is totally free and works in Windows, Ubuntu and Mac.
If you realize that you deleted a file and want to recover it, try not to use that storage device until you recover the file, that will maximize the chances of recovering it.
