Toshiba Camileo Z100 Slow Pan with Rubberband :)

Well, this afternoon I did a test with an idea I've had about how to automatize a slow pan sequens with help of a simple rubberband attached to a tripod. The idea is to attach one end of a rubberband to the tripod ( up where you secure the cam) and one end to the lower part of tripod itself. Place the cam where you want the pan to stop. Then rotate the upper part of the tripod (tighten the rubberband) to where you want the pan to start. Tighten the screw on the tripod that let you move the camera horizontal til the rubberband hardly can move it. Press REC and let go... :)
I only had an old rubberband for this test and it was a little uneven in the stretch performance -but you will see the idea!! Think it will work great with a hair tie or similar.
In this test the pan is about 90° -but with a strong elastic you would be able to do about 180°. In the original clip the pan is even and without any jerks (I can se some in the YT upload...).
