Winter Day On Our Small Dairy Farm/Grinding Corn/Feeding Hay/New Calves/Firewood

After 2 weeks of darn right cold weather, the temperature finally warmed up and we took advantage. We took the International 1256 and Artsway Grinder and ground a load of corn for the heifers. Alan also added some mineral to this load.
After that, our plan was to let 1/2 of the cows out for a while. It was a bit too cold to let them all out without the barn freezing. Before we could let the cows out though we had to use the Gehl 4625 skid loader to feed a couple round bales of hay out.
We show off our 3 new heifer calves. 2 Holsteins and 1 Jersey calf.
Once we got Tilly's new calf settled, we went out to go cut firewood. Jen and Jordan took the 1973 Skidoo Olympique out to the woods while Alan took the skid loader.
Before we wrap up the video, the boys wanted to show off their snow fort.
