Shiveluch Volcano Update; Major Eruption Occurs, Large Earthquake Follows

The most explosive volcano in Russia just produced a major eruption, with a magnitude 7.0 earthquake striking during the latter half of this eruption. As a result, a sustained eruption plume rose to a height of 9 kilometers or 29,500 feet, with this originating from Shiveluch's Karan dome. This video will discuss the latest eruption, and mention whether the magnitude 7.0 earthquake which struck was related.
