Kilauea Volcano Update; Rapidly Added 1,500+ Ft in Height
In only 6.5 years, a section of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has rapidly become a little more than 1,500 feet or 457 meters taller than it was at the start of this timespan. What I am referring to is a section of Kilauea's summit caldera, which has filled in by more than 300 million cubic meters of fresh lava since December 2020. Today's video will discuss this relatively rapid change, and give some estimates as to when Kilauea's 2018 caldera might be completely refilled by.
