The veins of the stomach drain directly or indirectly into the portal vein. As you know The portal vein has to main formatoy veins: The splenic vein and the superior mesenteric vein. After its formation behind the neck of the pancreas, the portal vein ascends behind the first part of duodenum.
Directly into the portal vein are draining two veins from the stomach: The left gastric vein which is also called the coronary vein of the stomach describes a loop in its course along the upper half of the lesser curvature of the stomach. Apart from receveing blood from the upper part of lesser curvature of the stomach it also drains blood from the subdiafragmatic part of esophagus by way of some esophageal veins.
The right gastric vein courses along the inferior half of the lesser curvature of the somach and drains also directly into the portal vein. An important guidepost for surgeons is the prepyloric vein of Mayo which drains into the right gastric vein. This vein as its name implies ascends in front of the pylorus and marks the boundery between the pylorus and the first part of duodenum.
From the fundus of the stomach the short gastric veins drain blood into the commencement of splenic vein.
Also draining into the splenic vein is the left gastroepiploic vein which runs from right to left along the greater curvature of the stomach.
The last vein to be indicated is the right gastroepiploic vein which runs from left to right along the greater curvature of the stomach and drains into the superior mesenteric vein.
