'They don't call ‘em tornados anymore': Biden makes more gaffes while visiting flood ravaged communi

President Joe Biden has been ridiculed online after making a series of gaffes while touring flood ravaged regions of New York and New Jersey on Tuesday, local time.

The president went to areas that were damaged by Hurricane Ida, which hit the US northeast after battering Louisiana a week ago.

The storm brought enormous floods with at least 50 people killed, including 13 in New York City.

At a stop in New Jersey, President Biden made the dubious claim the term 'tornado' is no longer in common usage.

“It's all across the country, you know ... it looks like a tornado, they don't call em that anymore, that hit the crops and wetlands in the middle of the country in Iowa and Nevada and I mean, it's just across the board,” the president said.

“And you know, as I said, we're in this together.”

The president used the tour to blame the inclement weather on climate change and advocated for Congress to pass his $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill and $3.5 trillion social spending bill.

Both bills have money allocated towards climate change projects.
