Discord just banned 20 million accounts from their platform, as we have learned from their latest Trust and Safety transparency report. This was between January and June 2021; and showed a whole list of different punishments given which range from just warnings, to Discord Server deletions and Discord Accounts getting banned.

In this period, there was a huge increase in the amount of accounts banned, specifically for the reasoning of spam. Spam account bans, made up over 19 million of the ban reasons alone; completely winning the biggest category. Other reasons which people were banned for include Harassment (although low), Hacks and Cheats, Discord Raiding and more!

When looking at a variety of other things, it seems that there are very low unban rates for Discord Accounts - with particularly low unban rates for spam offences. If you do end up getting banned from Discord (also known as terminated or disabled), and do not feel like it was justified, then attempt to contact the Trust and Safety team through their online form on the Discord Support website with a detailed explanation on the situation and occurrences. Make sure to identify yourself as the account owner too. Please do not do this if you got banned from a Discord Server as that is up to the discretion of the Discord Moderators / Admins.
