DCS World - MiG-21 - Operation Model 5 - Day Two of the Yom Kippur War 1973

October 7th 1973. was the second day of the Yom Kippur War. Israelis realize the only way to win is to eliminate Arab umbrella of Surface to air missiles. Operation Model 5 is launched against SAM batteries on the Syrian front. Heavily laden F-4 Phantoms are supposed to locate and destroy them. However, the batteries are moved overnight. Phantoms run straight into a trap with SAM's, radar controlled anti-aircraft guns and finally, Syrian MiG-21 interceptors, all determined to shoot them down.
We join Syrian MiG-21 MF pilots scrambled to intercept Israeli Phantoms.
