Redes de edificios autosuficientes: Vicente Guallart at TEDxMadrid

The architect Vicente Guallart believes in a city of the future where we share energy and information collectively produced, and everybody on Earth can produce what she needs everywhere in the world. Vicente and his students have created laboratories to prepare this future: a Green Fab Lab where they learn to reach self-sufficiency, and a self sufficient solar house, which has been totally hand made and it is ready to live in.
Vicente Guallart was born in Valencia, lives in Barcelona and works everywhere in the world. He is director of Guallart Architects (www.guallart.com) and of the Instituto de Arquitectura Avanzada de Cataluña, where students from around the globe design self-sufficient houses and experiment with personal fabrication. (www.iaac.net). He will speak about those houses, and how his students built a real one, by hands, an house ready to be brought to the beach and become your own.
