Coffee Buns | Weekly Bakes

Ingredients:
3 cups bread flour/all purpose flour
1/2 cup warm water (for proofing yeast)
1 pack or 2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/2 tbsp sugar (for proofing yeast)
4 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg (room temperature)
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
extra flour for dusting
optional: small diced cold butter for filling
Coffee buttercream topping:
1 tbsp instant coffee powder
1 tbsp hot water
1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp cocoa powder
2/3 cup cake flour
