Snake Monster Quadruped (Roller-Walker) Robot
Snake Monster is a reconfigurable legged robot made from modular series-elastic actuators. In this video Snake Monster is configured into a quadruped and is capable of multi-modal mobility. The robot demonstrates two modes of locomotion: walking and roller-skating. All control is tele-operated via joystick. Snake Monster is being developed in Carnegie Mellon's Biorobotics Lab. Inspiration is taken from Hirose's roller-walker robot.
