Resistance Band Exercises: Best Exercises for Shoulder Rehab and Scapular Stabilzation.

☛Why is it important?☚ Scapular stabilization helps bring those shoulders back into a neutral position. A neutral position not only means better movement, but it means prevention of injuries and pain to the area. We’ve got your back, today we are going to discuss some great exercises with progressions using minimal equipment that you can easily do at home or at the gym.

☛The scapula, along with the clavicle make up the base of the shoulder joint with the humerus. The shoulder joint is already our most mobile joint in the body and has a tendency toward instability. .
☛Why do the exercises☚ These exercises will help with your shoulder mechanics, posture improvement, body awareness and help prevent impingement injuries to the shoulder. As your body gets used to the proper activation and movement of the scapula it will improve your awareness and movements in every day activities creating a healthier and stronger shoulder complex.

- The following exercises will help with your shoulder mechanics, posture improvement, body awareness and help prevent impingement injuries to the shoulder. How do you do the exercises?
- I’ve put together 3 different exercises with their respective progressions. For each exercise I will give my recommendation for the number of repetitions and sets for the maximum efficiency.
1. Scapular protraction-retraction; against wall, with resistance band, SA with band, scap push up, add band
2. Wall slides; on ground with knees bent, passive with foam roller, active with foam roller, against wall, banded flexion
3. Rows; standing banded row, SA banded row, bent over row, plank row, banded plank row.

Please keep in mind that any injury should not be self assess or self treated. A Physical Therapist or Physician should be consulted prior to starting any exercise programming or performing any exercises.
