LISTA DE INGREDIENTES MAIS ABAIXO.

“YIOUVETSI” - LAMB BAKED IN THE OVEN WITH ORZO PASTA
1 kg leg of Lamb or shoulder - instead of Lamb you can use Beef
1 1/2 cups (300g) Orzo (rice shaped pasta)
1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 large onion, chopped
1 large or 2 medium size carrots, chopped in chunk size pieces
2 celery sticks, chopped in chunk size pieces
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Salt for seasoning
4 tablespoons olive oil for frying the meat
1/2 glass, grated cheddar, Halloumi or any other hard cheese to sprinkle over the top
Garnish with Parsley

ΓΙΟΥΒΕΤΣΙ ΜΕ ΚΡΕΑΣ ΑΡΝΙΟΎ

1 1/2 φλιτζάνια (300g) κριθαράκι
1 κουτί (400g) ψιλοκομμένες ντομάτες
2 κουταλιές της σούπας πάστα ντομάτας -τοματοπολτός-
1 μεγάλο κρεμμύδι, ψιλοκομμένο
1 μεγάλο ή 2 μεσαίου μεγέθους καρότα, κομμένα σε τεμάχια μεγέθους κομματιών
2 ραβδιά σέλινο, κομμένα σε τεμάχια μεγέθους κομματιών
3 σκελίδες σκόρδο, τεμαχισμένα
1 κουταλάκι του γλυκού ξηρό θυμάρι
1/2 κουταλάκι του γλυκού μαύρο πιπέρι
Αλάτι
4 κουταλιές της σούπας ελαιόλαδο για το τηγάνισμα του κρέατος
1/2 φλυτζάνη τριμμένο Χαλλούμι ή οποιοδήποτε άλλο σκληρό τυρί για πασπάλισμα
μαϊντανό ψιλοκομμένο

CARNEIRO COZIDO AO FORNO COM MACARRAO ORZO

1 kg de perna de carneiro ou ombro - pode-se usar bife
1 1/2 xícaras (300g) Orzo (massa em forma de arroz)
1 lata (400g) de tomate picado
2 colheres de sopa de pasta de tomate
1 cebola grande picada
1 cenoura grande ou 2 de tamanho médio, cortada em cubos
2 hastes de aipo picados em pedaços grandes
3 dentes de alho picados
1 colher de chá de tomilho seco
1/2 colher de chá de pimenta preta moída
Sal para tempero
4 colheres de sopa de azeite para fritar a carne
1/2 copo de queijo duro ralado para assar
Decore com Salsa
