Gli ultrasuoni come strumento per combattere il Covid, aiutando i medici a velocizzare le diagnosi
in questi momenti di grande afflusso di pazienti da valutare. I polmoni però, essendo piedi di aria, non sono un organo facile da riprendere con le immagini
ultrasonografiche, da qui la necessità di studiare nuovi strumenti e nuovi algoritmi di valutazione delle immagini, dall'invisibile al visibile.
The passion for science brought me to study first telecommunication engineering then applied physics. I also enjoy getting in touch with new cultures, and found a way to work in many different places around the world: at universities, research institutes and high-tech companies as well as at NPOs. Right now, I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Trento, Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, and Head of ULTRa (Ultrasound Lab Trento). My research activity focuses on signal processing, image formation and image analysis of mostly medical imaging applications of ultrasound technologies.
