10 gym lessons you learn the hard way! On that note, I'm not sure what 'the easy way' would be but still. Be it waking up feeling like you've been bit by a bus after your first session or just accepting that injuries are part of the process, there's always sadness before you realise this is just how it goes. If only when you first went to the gym someone put their arm around you and told you what was what.

That never happens, though, so I will try and embrace you instead by talking real gym experiences that are waiting for you... and may be a bit rubbish!
