Episode 2 of Absurdly Historical tells the full story of Ilie the Vulture: how a wild bird became an icon of a Romanian city, what his life at the train station actually looked like, how locals cared for him and fed him by hand, and what happened to him during some of the darkest years of Romanian history.

It's a story about how a city can fall in love with an animal — and about what that love says about the people doing the loving.
