Punjab Police have arrested five operatives of Babar Khalsa International (BKI), a banned pro-Khalistan terror group. This major breakthrough comes as part of the state’s ongoing crackdown on terrorism and separatist networks.
🔺 The arrested suspects were allegedly involved in:
• Planning targeted killings
• Receiving foreign terror funding
• Promoting Khalistani ideology via social media and encrypted apps
Investigations are underway to identify the larger network and linkages with overseas handlers.
This action follows heightened intelligence efforts across Punjab and northern India amid rising national security concerns.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
