Reports of 107 Pakistani citizens going missing are baseless, says Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on April 27 dismissed reports claiming that 107 Pakistani citizens had gone missing, and termed them “baseless”. He also cautioned against the spread of such misleading information.
“As the Home Minister, I want to clarify that the reports of 107 Pakistani citizens being missing are baseless, and such misleading information should not be spread. I assure you that all Pakistani citizens have been accounted for, and the process of sending them out of the country is underway. Proper arrangements are being made, and no Pakistani citizen will remain here. My estimate is that by this evening or tomorrow morning, all of them will have returned to their country,” said Devendra Fadnavis.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
