Storm Chase Kenton, Ohio Damaging EF1 Tornado 9-13-2023

Join us on a storm chasing adventure as we track an EF1 tornado that struck Kenton, Ohio, on August 13th, 2023. The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio, confirmed the tornado's impact, detailing the path of destruction and damage it caused.

Starting near W Espy Street and Robinson Ave, the tornado left a trail of minor tree limb damage and sheet metal damage to buildings. As it moved towards Detroit Street and Main Street, the damage intensified, with numerous trees downed, homes and garages damaged, and winds estimated at around 90 MPH. The tornado's strength was evident as it flattened a garage and removed the roof and second floor of another structure.
