Doctors hold press conference ahead of Trump's discharge from hospital

Donald Trump’s medical team have provided an update on the President’s health a few hours before he is scheduled to be discharged from the Walter Read Medical Centre.

The president is expected to depart the hospital at 9:30am AEDT and will continue his convalescence at the White House.

Questioned on the safety of Mr Trump exiting the hospital to visit fans in the presidential motorcade yesterday, Dr Sean Conley said appropriate infection control measures had been implemented.
