Before the YouTube Channel "Chiropractic Medicine," the average patient seeking care at my office was

90 PERCENT female, age 40-60

Sometimes there would be 2-3 days of seeing ONLY female patients, aged 40-60

But then, as mentioned in lasts week's rant, this strange cyclical world would turn and I'd have an entire day of men. It was quite the phenomenon. And no doubt my former office manager would testify for the matter

We'd see almost no male patients and then all of the sudden... it was chiropractic day at the man cave

Now

The largest demographic of the channel's viewers are Male, age 15-25

And the 2nd largest is Male, age 25-35

The patient population at my practice is filtered in from the Youtube audience and we now consistently see male patients, all day, every day

So when people ask "does this guy only see young women?" I wonder how it's not obvious... that the majority of people watching, and now the majority that I am adjusting ARE MEN

And for inquiring minds who want to know... my personal preference

is variety

Variation in age, gender, and race keep the day interesting
Variation in patient occupations keep the day interesting
Variation in patient CHIEF COMPLAINT & CONDITION is, however, the most important ingredient of interesting.

Of course, of course, of course, I am honored and grateful to assist in the relief of mechanical low back pain, neck pain, and tension headaches. It's familiar, predictable, and satisfying to fix.

But when someone says "the outer half of my left ring finger is going numb whenever I eat pancake batter... on Tuesdays"

I'm all in for this kind of chiropractic capper

is it only the batter?
do you eat pancakes any other day of the week?
is the numbness ever accompanied by a sweet sensation on the front 1/3 of your tongue?

These are actual medically relevant questions

5 years ago my mentor passed away and I partially inherited his practice

He was older. So I inherited a lot of Betty's and Martha's

He was also a master of shamanistic practices, so the Bettys and Marthas usually come in with updates on astrological movements and messages from archangel Gabriel

Which is AMAZING!

But ironically redundant lol... I mean, how many messages from the divine can I possibly get in a day?

(the actual answer here is ALL DAY EVERY DAY imho)

Bettys & Martha's are relatively easier to work on. Almost none of them want to get cracked. And they respond well to blocking, arthrostim, drop table and pleasant conversation about their grandchildren

It changes the pace...

Next comes John the 45 year old construction worker with chronic muscle tightness who also happens to be wearing jeans... tight jeans...

Not an easy visit for me

Then nurse Mary who although is wearing scrubs, hasn't been adjusted in 3 years and spends 80 hours a week lifting and cleaning nearly dead people. Her spine is crippled by physical and emotional baggage

Then there's Maeve who needs a neck adjustment. And the spirit of her middle school friend also tagged along since she is having difficulty passing through "to the other side"

Anna is the mother of a newborn... I'll rock the baby carrier with one foot during the prone thoracic spine palpation

Jessie is a starving artist who spends hours at the pottery wheel

Or Vincent the veracious video game vlogger

Pete the powerlifter

Barbara the beauty consultant

They all need adjustments... and these videos are like the crop dusters of marketing. It suppresses the weedy ney sayers of growth & anti chiropractic rhetoric... with proof

A whole new generation of young adults are getting their spines adjusted

You get the point.

Now, circling back to Youtube land.

Beauty is an amplification device

If a playboy model is taught how to breathe with her diaphragm, MILLIONS will see it and it will carry on for years and years and hopefully more years.

The instructional video that is made for information dissemination gets lost in the deep, dark hole of algorithmic suppression.

BECAUSE WHERE ATTENTION GOES... ENERGY FLOWS.

And if I'm ranting down the path of lunacy, while the kids watch vintage pink panther cartoons, & the contractor sends the sound of a saw blade raging through the house while he repairs inexplicable building flaws from 1970, & the snow slowly recedes into the streets making puddles for Amazon delivery peeps to pounce as they resolve all the wrong sizes from Christmas surprises, as the tea kettle whistles, the potato noodles fizzle
