Otter in Fairview Creek Headwaters
In 2019, otters were spotted in every major creek including Fairview, Beaver, Kelly, Johnson, and Butler. This otter had just caught a catfish in the headwaters of Fairview Creek. Otters have thick fur that keeps them warm in water, even under ice. This makes them look cute and fuzzy, but those sharp teeth remind you that they are carnivorous predators.
