Traditionally, Georgian music is sung only by male choirs, but this comic song became popular thanks to conductor Maro Tarkhnishvili, who performed Georgian folk songs with mixed choirs for the first time.

JIP Chamber Choir is a project choir from Utrecht, the Netherlands, founded in 2013 by brothers Jonathan and Imre Ploeg. JIP wants to present new and unknown choir music from all over the world, brought together in surprising, engaging and fundamental themes like war and peace, the nomadic life, the refugee crisis and the ecological crisis.
