Taiwan’s Chimei Museum prepares exhibition of Flemish and Dutch art

The Chimei Museum in Tainan will present "Painters' Tales of the Low Countries: Flemish and Dutch Paintings" from Oct. 26 to Aug. 31, 2025. This exhibition will display 60 paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, showcasing the artistic innovation of the period, driven by the wealth of the Dutch middle class. Visitors will have the opportunity to delve into the artworks' technical details and historical significance through scientific analysis and cutting-edge imaging techniques. The exhibition will feature religious scenes, portraits, stills, and landscapes. An opening preview on Oct. 25 will include a guided tour by the museum's curatorial team and special gifts for visitors.
