10 - Basics of ServiceNow Reports

Hello Everyone !
everyone! Welcome back to our series. In today’s video, let's look at reports and understand the basics of reports
Reports are essential tools that help organize and present data in a way that is easy to understand and analyze.
To create a report, navigating to All - Platform Analytics Administration - Usage Governance - Reports module.
Click on "New,"
Name it "Active Incidents,"
Set the source type to "Table,"
Choose the incident table,
Click on the "Open Condition Builder,"
Select "Active is true,"
Then click "Next."
it displays the list of all active incidents.
There are several report types like bar chart, pie chart, score et.,
For this demo let's select "Bar Chart" as the report type,
Click "Next."
Reports can be configured by grouping data by a specific field or fields and perform calculations on the data.
For example, let me select the "Category" field, and get the count of active incidents.
Select "State" as the stack-by field, which will divide the bars based on the state and show the count based on both category and state.
I'll leave the aggregation as "Count" because I need the incident count.
To show the data below the report, set "Display Data Table" to true.
Click "Next."
The "Style" option allows users to customize the look of the report, including colors, title, and adjustment to the report legends.
Click "Save."
"Report Info" provides more details about the report.
reports can be scheduled or added to dashboard or export to PDF by clicking on sharing button
NOTE: You must have access to a dashboard (or dashboards) before adding a report to it.
Alternatively, you can generate a report directly from any list by selecting the column context menus.
Let’s see how to do it:
Click on "Show/Hide Filter,"
Set the condition as "Category is Software,"
Click "Run."
Select the Column Context Menu for the "Category" field, then choose either "Bar Chart" or "Pie Chart" based on what works best for you. In this example, let's create a pie chart.
