I can't see how God will use THIS

I'm not sure why I often expect to be able to figure out exactly what "good" God is working through whatever horrible thing I am going through. It's not like I was every told I'd be able to figure it out. It's not like I have any reasonable expectation that I can analyze and calculate all the factors of life to determine what good is going to come through some horrible tragedy or pain. What I can do is realize that God has made a promise and He is to be trusted.
