Many eye floaters sufferers are put off considering a vitrectomy because it is perceived to be very risky to sight. The facts that a vitrectomy is routinely carried out by vitreoretinal surgeons regularly in the course of making surgical repairs at the back of the eye. The pars plana floaters only vitrectomy, or FOV has been going through refinement over the years. In this video I bring you a brief initial look at what a vitrectomy operation entails and I explain the difference between its conventional uses and its use as an eye floaters treatment.
