Bilateral Full Body Dumbbell Workout at Home - Nate Bower Fitness

A bilateral workout movement is when both limbs are used in unison to contract the muscles, which creates force and subsequently moves a given load. For example, consider upper body exercises that use dumbbells. Bi-lateral workout, simply put, means that you are working both limbs/sides simultaneously. Both limbs share the resistance and work together to move the load.

Bilateral strength training refers to working out both sides of your muscles simultaneously. An example would be a leg press where you use a machine to press both of your legs simultaneously. You can lift more weight this way, which helps to build max strength.
