January 21: The Value of Prayer (Disciplines of the Christian Life)

Prayer is a valuable treasure the LORD has given us, and yet, like most blessings from GOD, it is often neglected, or at least not cherished as it should be. I know I cannot fathom the value of prayer, but this Scripture (along with many others) tells me that it is a powerful connection between man and the All-Powerful GOD!

May the LORD teach us to understand the value of prayer and help us to cherish it as the gift it is. In Christ's Name, I pray.
