Fort Pickens Part 2

Continuing on from part 1, we explore Battery Pensacola and how they stored, transported, and moved the shells for the 12" disappearing guns up to where the guns were positioned. One of the shell hoist systems are still in place and was amazing to see!
After exploring most of the fort, we drove down to Battery 234 and Battery Cooper where they have other guns on display you can see up close and personal, including a 6" disappearing gun!
While on top of Battery Cooper you can see just how beautiful the Gulf of Mexico is and all of the white sandy beaches here.
We stopped off at the local favorite Peg Leg Pete's for some seafood lunch.
